About the Marriott Denver Tech Center

21st century tech companies seek spaces that foster, grow and promote creative collaboration. The Marriott Denver Tech Center's design features hard-edged organic forms softened by a muted, natural palette of materials to promote spontaneous collaboration, immediate brainstorming sessions, and casual open meetings. Reflecting Colorado's pioneer heritage and majestic Rocky Mountains, guests are greeted with a sculptural wall and ceiling installation, infused with burnished gold leafing, paying homage to the Gold Rush - Colorado's first New Frontier. Carpets incorporate organic geode designs with an overlay of forward-thinking “synapses,” conceptually tying Colorado’s mining history with its' new “ideas economy” of the 21st century.

Design by Miriam Torres / Parker-Torres Design Inc.

Starting in 2006, the once-unknown name Parker-Torres Design Inc. has since become synonymous with excellent custom service and quality design. Upon stepping into the role of founding partner of Parker-Torres Design, Ms. Torres brought with her an unrivaled passion for interior design, in addition to her passion for working with people. Her wealth of design experience extends to a broad range of property types and styles, but her forte is in working seamlessly with a project team to make the needs of her clients top priority. In the years since the company’s inception, those clients have included developers, asset managers, brand managers, and owners of some of the world’s most respected and influential hospitality outlets. Ms. Torres has served as Director of Design for national projects in Boston, New York, California, and Florida, as well as being the Principal Designer on projects in Turkey, Canada, London, and Dubai, UAE. While she is fluent in all idioms of design, she excels in bringing forward the color and light of a property’s native environment. Ms. Torres’ heart is truly felt in the FF&E Design Selection and Specification phases in the hospitality market. Her affinity for creating her own custom carpet patterns are well-documented, as is her gift for respecting the client’s FF&E budget and parameters of the project-coordination needs.
