Virserius Studio’s goal was to re-energize the existing design and set The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas apart from all others on the Vegas Strip while keeping the hotel’s mystique and drama. With a focus on playing to guests' fantasies while leaving them open to interpretation, the featured artwork reflects the hotel's slogan, “Just the Right Amount of Wrong.” Each room is a theater stage, with the artwork serving as characters, inviting guests to see themselves as players. Virserius Studio, in collaboration with art consultant firm Imaggo Production, employed numerous special techniques to bring edge and sophistication to the art pieces, which in turn elevated the rooms, giving them depth and whimsy. All the pieces were custom made by V/S and incorporate bold concepts. The colors used are subtle and sexy, and feature the use of jewel tones to evoke a sense of luxury. With an eye to supporting the artwork as the main character, the furniture evokes a sculptural feel, and the flooring and finishes serve as the supporting cast.
